We are here for the community.
Our Vision
We envision a Topeka where every young person, regardless of their background or circumstance, has access to the resources, mentorship, and opportunities needed to succeed. Through the power of education, sports, and community collaboration, we strive to create an environment where trust is built, relationships are strengthened, and future leaders are empowered. Our goal is to break down barriers, bridge gaps between underserved communities and local authorities, and inspire a generation of young people who are confident, resilient, and ready to lead with purpose.
Our Mission
At Community Unite Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering the Topeka community by creating opportunities, fostering connections, and providing essential resources that uplift underserved neighborhoods. Through a blend of education and sports, we offer engaging programs designed to inspire and equip youth for success both on and off the field.
Our initiatives include multi-sport youth camps, educational clinics, mentorship opportunities, and a variety of community-driven services, including holiday food drives, scholarships, tutoring, and nutritional guidance. We believe in the power of collaboration and strive to bridge the gap between Topeka’s youth, community leaders, government officials, and law enforcement to build trust and understanding.
One of our signature programs, the Big Kev Community Giveback (BKGB), is an annual sports camp held at Washburn University, offering local youth in grades 3-12 an opportunity to develop athletic skills while connecting with mentors and role models. Our goal is to expand the BKGB initiative and eventually make it free for all students, ensuring that every young person, regardless of their background, has access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.
Through our work, we aim to strengthen the bonds within Topeka’s diverse communities, inspire future leaders, and create a lasting impact through education, sports, and service.
